Tottenham Hotspur Kejar Poin Penyelamat Degradasi di Stamford Bridge

Tottenham Hotspur membidik minimal satu poin dalam laga tandang krusial melawan Chelsea di Stadion Stamford Bridge pada Selasa malam waktu setempat untuk memastikan diri bertahan di kompetisi Liga Primer Inggris.

Pertandingan bertajuk Derbi London ini menjadi kesempatan besar bagi tim tamu karena hasil imbang sudah cukup untuk membuat posisi mereka aman dan membuat West Ham United menduduki zona degradasi.

Dilansir dari bbc.com, Tottenham saat ini menempati peringkat ke-17 dengan raihan 39 poin, sedangkan Chelsea berada di posisi ke-10 dengan mengoleksi 50 poin setelah gagal meraih trofi Piala FA akhir pekan lalu.

Catatan sejarah berpihak kepada tuan rumah karena Chelsea berhasil memenangkan 38 pertandingan Liga Primer Inggris melawan Tottenham, yang menjadi rekor kemenangan terbanyak mereka atas satu lawan di kompetisi ini.

Sebaliknya, Tottenham tercatat hanya mampu meraih satu kemenangan dari 35 laga tandang terakhir mereka di markas Chelsea sejak tahun 1990, yaitu saat menang 3-1 di bawah asuhan Mauricio Pochettino pada April 2018.

Meski memiliki rekor buruk di Stamford Bridge, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur Roberto De Zerbi menegaskan bahwa tekanan dari pihak luar yang menginginkan timnya turun kasta justru menjadi bahan bakar motivasi tambahan bagi anak asuhnya.

"I am Italian and in Italy it’s the same," ujar Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur kepada theguardian.com.

"For the biggest teams, it’s the same. We have to accept the pressure. We have to enjoy this pressure. We have to find new motivation from this pressure. It’s a good thing for us. If everyone wants Tottenham relegated, it’s a big motivation for me and I hope for my players as well."

De Zerbi menambahkan bahwa persaingan sengit antarklub merupakan bumbu keindahan dalam dunia sepak bola yang harus dinikmati oleh seluruh elemen tim.

"We have to accept that football is nice because of the rivalries. It’s good to imagine ourselves celebrating the win in their stadium. If everyone wants Tottenham relegated, I think for one Tottenham player, one Tottenham fan, all the people who work inside Tottenham, it has to be the biggest motivation," kata Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

Mantan pelatih Brighton itu mengaku sudah berdiskusi dengan para pemainnya mengenai catatan buruk di kandang Chelsea dan meminta mereka fokus pada performa di lapangan.

"We spoke this morning about this record [at Stamford Bridge]," tutur Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

"But the most important is the spirit, the personality for tomorrow – to play a good game, to make points. I explained that the last win before Wolves was 28 December and then we won two games in a row. It’s not the record that is important. It’s the mood, how you go to play the game."

Mengingat laga ini berpotensi berlangsung panas berkaca pada sejarah rivalitas kedua tim, De Zerbi mengingatkan pentingnya menjaga ketenangan emosi sepanjang pertandingan berlangsung.

"Always calm with the blood, with personality, with the right spirit," ucap Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

"Focus just on the game. Because in our last one against Leeds [the 1-1 draw], when Kinsky saved [in stoppage time], we went too strong, too fast, too strong on the ball. Sometimes we have to be more calm."

Mengenai kondisi tim, seperti yang dilaporkan hayters.com, penyerang Dominic Solanke dipastikan absen akibat cedera, namun penjaga gawang utama Guglielmo Vicario sudah pulih pascaoperasi hernia.

"Solanke is not good yet, he’s not available," kata Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

"He feels something and I don’t want to take a risk for this game. We hope maybe for Sunday he will be available for one part of the game."

Kehadiran kembali Vicario membuat De Zerbi harus memilih antara langsung memainkannya atau tetap memercayai Antonin Kinsky yang tampil apik belakangan ini.

"Vicario is available to play, I will decide tomorrow," kata Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

"Vicario is number one but we have to consider the physical condition, the moment, everything. But I have a big relationship with Antonin Kinsky and with Vicario as well, and there will not be any problem."

Selain itu, James Maddison yang sempat absen latihan karena masalah kecil setelah kembali bermain melawan Leeds United dipastikan siap masuk ke dalam skuad.

"The beginning of this week, he didn’t work because of a small problem, but yesterday and today, James worked very well," kata Roberto De Zerbi, Manajer Tottenham Hotspur.

"He’s a special player, a different player, now he is not ready to play 90 minutes. I want to speak with him tomorrow morning and to take the best decision we can."

Di kubu Chelsea, manajer interim Calum McFarlane menghadapi tekanan berat karena klub berjuluk The Blues tersebut tanpa kemenangan dalam tujuh laga liga terakhir serta menelan empat kekalahan beruntun di kandang.
