Donald Trump Berencana Cabut Sanksi Penjualan Jet Tempur F-35 ke Turki

Presiden Amerika Serikat Donald Trump mengumumkan rencana pencabutan sanksi terhadap Turki saat menghadiri KTT NATO di Ankara pada Selasa, 7 Juli 2026, guna memulihkan akses negara tersebut dalam program pembelian jet tempur siluman F-35. Langkah tersebut diambil setelah pembicaraan intensif di balik layar oleh para pejabat keamanan nasional AS untuk memecahkan kebuntuan diplomatik yang telah berlangsung selama tujuh tahun. Kebijakan baru ini membalikkan larangan yang diterapkan Trump pada 2019 setelah Turki membeli sistem pertahanan udara S-400 dari Rusia karena kekhawatiran ancaman keamanan terhadap teknologi siluman F-35.

Rencana penjualan jet tempur ini langsung memicu penolakan keras dari kelompok anggota parlemen bipartisan di Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat AS, serta penolakan dari Israel dan Yunani.

Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu secara terbuka mendesak AS untuk membatalkan rencana tersebut karena dinilai dapat mengganggu keseimbangan kekuatan di Timur Tengah. Pemerintah Turki melalui Kementerian Luar Negeri langsung merespons penolakan Israel dengan menyebutnya sebagai bagian dari kampanye disinformasi yang terkoordinasi.

Presiden Turki Recep Tayyip Erdogan mengabaikan keberatan tersebut dan menegaskan bahwa Trump menunjukkan pendekatan positif terkait pengiriman jet siluman F-35. "Hopefully, when the F-35s are delivered to Turkey, the whole world will say America kept its promise," ujar Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Presiden Turki.

Di sisi lain, oposisi di Kongres AS yang dipimpin oleh perwakilan Mike Lawler dan Brad Sherman telah mengirimkan surat resmi ke Gedung Putih untuk menyatakan keprihatinan mendalam. "With [Turkish] President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan’s continued aggression toward our greatest partners along with his troubling defense partnerships with our adversaries, it is not in the best interest of our country to sell them F-35s," tulis kelompok anggota parlemen lintas partai dalam surat mereka. "While Turkey has been a NATO ally since 1952, they have hardly been a reliable partner in the present day," tambah para anggota parlemen tersebut.

"Since 2019, President Erdogan has only further antagonized the U.S. and our NATO allies," lanjut para politisi AS tersebut.

"would send the wrong message to President Erdogan and to our allies and partners both in Europe and the Middle East," tegas para anggota DPR AS. Kementerian Luar Negeri Turki menegaskan bahwa penolakan sepihak dari Israel tidak akan mampu menutupi situasi konflik yang sedang berlangsung di Jalur Gaza. "The baseless allegations recently circulated by Israeli officials in a coordinated manner and with calculated timing are part of a disinformation campaign," sebut Kementerian Luar Negeri Turki.

"Netanyahu and his partners in crime deliberately distort any criticism directed at them and seek to divert attention through a systematic propaganda effort," tambah pihak Kementerian Luar Negeri Turki.

"with this understanding, we once again call on Israel to pursue a constructive and peaceful policy," tutup Kementerian Luar Negeri Turki. Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu dalam wawancara khusus dengan CNN secara tegas memperingatkan dampak negatif jika persenjataan canggih ini tetap diberikan kepada Ankara.

"It’s too early to say what will happen," ujar Benjamin Netanyahu mengenai kesepakatan gencatan senjata AS-Iran.

"I don’t think (Turkey) should be given F-35s or the engines for their fighter jets, because that’ll upset the power balance in the Middle East, which is ultimately guaranteed by Israeli air superiority and also by, I think, by America’s posture in the Middle East," ujar Benjamin Netanyahu dalam wawancara terpisah.

Sementara itu, Presiden Trump membela keputusannya dan memuji Erdogan sekaligus Netanyahu sebagai pemimpin yang luar biasa di tengah perselisihan kedua negara.

"I like Erdogan," kata Donald Trump, Presiden Amerika Serikat. "You know, he could have gone into the [Iran] war," klaim Donald Trump kepada jurnalis.

"Bibi said real things yesterday about Turkey and Erdogan," cetus Donald Trump. "I spoke to [Netanyahu]. I said [Erdogan] could have gone into the war because he doesn’t like Israel much, and he doesn’t like Bibi much, and he didn’t go because of me," tutur Donald Trump.
