Qatar Bersiap Hadapi Bosnia dan Herzegovina di Piala Dunia

Tim nasional Qatar bersiap menghadapi laga penentu Grup B Piala Dunia melawan Bosnia dan Herzegovina pada Rabu di Seattle demi menjaga peluang lolos ke babak berikutnya.

Dilansir dari laporan thepeninsulaqatar.com, Qatar saat ini membutuhkan kemenangan mutlak setelah sebelumnya menelan kekalahan telak 0-6 dari Kanada di Vancouver dan bermain imbang 1-1 melawan Swiss.

Bek Qatar Pedro Miguel menegaskan bahwa skuad Al Annabi tetap memiliki motivasi yang kuat untuk menyelesaikan turnamen dengan hasil terbaik di tengah situasi sulit pascakekalahan besar tersebut.

"The Qatari national team still has a strong motivation to finish the tournament on a high note, and we still have a very important match ahead of us," ujar Pedro Miguel, pemain bertahan Qatar.

Pedro Miguel menambahkan bahwa seluruh elemen tim berkomitmen penuh untuk bertarung demi memenangkan pertandingan dan memberikan kebahagiaan kepada para pendukung mereka.

"We will fight to win and to make our fans happy. We cannot allow this loss to undo all the work we have done over the past period," kata Pedro Miguel.

Kekalahan telak dari Kanada terjadi setelah dua pemain Qatar, Homam Al Amin dan Assim Madibo, menerima kartu merah sehingga tim harus bermain dengan sembilan orang.

"All the players feel fully responsible for the result, and we are not shirking responsibility or making excuses," ucap Pedro Miguel.

Menurutnya, performa tim memang berada di bawah ekspektasi sehingga seluruh pemain siap mengambil tanggung jawab penuh secara kolektif.

"When you lose by this margin, you have to be brave enough to admit that the performance wasn’t up to par. We are all responsible, from the first player to the last on the pitch," tutur Pedro Miguel.

Ia juga menyoroti gol cepat Kanada dan insiden kartu merah sebagai momen krusial yang memberikan keuntungan psikologis besar bagi tim lawan.

"I think the start of the match wasn’t ideal for us. We conceded an early goal that gave the Canadian team a significant psychological advantage, and then the red card made things even more difficult," jelas Pedro Miguel.

Bermain di hadapan pendukung lawan dengan jumlah pemain yang pincang diakuinya menjadi tantangan yang sangat berat bagi tim.

"When you play against a strong team on their home ground, in front of their fans, and you’re down to ten men, things become extremely challenging," ungkap Pedro Miguel.

Kesalahan-kesalahan kecil di turnamen internasional menurutnya langsung berakibat fatal karena intensitas kompetisi yang tinggi.

"The team tried to regroup after the first red card, but small details played a significant role in widening the gap. In such international tournaments, any mistake is immediately punished," papar Pedro Miguel.

Kendati demikian, hasil buruk tersebut dinilai tidak mencerminkan kualitas asli dari skuad Qatar saat ini.

"Just a few days ago, we played a strong match against a well-organized Swiss team and managed to come away with a positive result," kata Pedro Miguel.

Ia tetap meyakini bahwa kemampuan para pemain Qatar jauh lebih baik daripada apa yang terlihat saat menghadapi Kanada.

"Therefore, I believe that what happened does not represent the true nature of this team or the quality of its players," sebut Pedro Miguel.

Suasana ruang ganti Qatar sempat diliputi kesedihan mendalam dan penurunan mental sesaat setelah laga kontra Kanada berakhir.

"The players’ morale in the locker room after the match was honestly very low," aku Pedro Miguel.

Kesedihan tersebut dirasakan oleh seluruh anggota tim tanpa terkecuali akibat hasil pertandingan yang mengecewakan.

"The sadness was palpable. I didn’t see a single player who wasn’t affected by the result," tambah Pedro Miguel.

Namun, atmosfer di dalam tim perlahan mulai berubah menjadi sebuah tekad untuk bangkit kembali.

"Despite the sadness and the painful loss, I saw a positive spirit among the players," kata Pedro Miguel.

Ia memastikan tidak ada satu pun pemain yang menyerah atau mengibarkan bendera putih sebelum perjuangan berakhir.

"Yes, we are disappointed, but no one has given up or raised the white flag. Everyone is talking about the need to get back on our feet quickly and prepare for the next match in the best possible way," tegas Pedro Miguel.

Fokus utama Qatar saat ini adalah memulihkan kondisi mental dan fisik agar bisa tampil maksimal.

"We need to regain our mental balance first, then our physical balance. That’s the real challenge now," ujar Pedro Miguel.

Walaupun memikul ekspektasi besar dari seluruh negeri, tim akan berusaha tampil dengan tenang serta penuh fokus.

"We understand the value of being here and we know that an entire nation is watching us and expecting a lot from us," kata Pedro Miguel.

Seluruh pemain berjanji akan mengerahkan kemampuan terbaik mereka demi memetik poin penuh di pertandingan sisa.

"Therefore, we will give our all in the next match and play calmly and with focus," ucap Pedro Miguel.

Pedro Miguel juga menyampaikan permohonan maaf kepada para pendukung Qatar yang telah melakukan perjalanan jauh demi memberikan dukungan langsung.

"First, I would like to apologize to the Qatari fans who traveled thousands of kilometers to support us," tutur Pedro Miguel.

Ia menegaskan kembali komitmen skuad untuk tampil habis-habisan pada pertandingan krusial menghadapi Bosnia dan Herzegovina.

"We promise you that we will give our all in the next match," janji Pedro Miguel.

Kekalahan dari Kanada disebutnya menjadi pelajaran berharga untuk membuktikan karakter asli dari tim nasional Qatar.

"This loss is truly painful, but it will not break our spirit or make us stop believing in ourselves. Great teams are measured by how they react after difficult moments, and now is the time for us to show the true character of the Qatari national team," pungkas Pedro Miguel.

Di kubu lawan, Bosnia dan Herzegovina yang saat ini berada di peringkat ketiga dengan raihan satu poin juga mengincar kemenangan demi lolos dari fase grup.

Berdasarkan laporan sports.yahoo.com dari konferensi pers hari Selasa, pelatih Bosnia dan Herzegovina Sergej Barbarez mengharapkan dukungan penuh dari puluhan ribu suporter yang akan memadati stadion.

"I've heard that there will be about 30,000 fans in the stadium. The bond we have with our fan base is growing stronger every day," harap Sergej Barbarez, pelatih Bosnia dan Herzegovina.

Ini merupakan penampilan kedua Bosnia dan Herzegovina di ajang Piala Dunia setelah debut mereka pada tahun 2014 yang berakhir di fase grup.
